How Do I Get Better?

This is perhaps the obvious and pertinent question for anybody that pursues a sport or hobby with seriousness and rigor. The solution: dedicated individualized practice.

As I’m sure you know, any athlete or business owner needs to correct technical errors we all have as well as expand our knowledge base. Playing matches, games, or – in the workplace – participating in the ho-hum average workday will not help with this. Getting better need not be your goal, but if it is, at least 3 hours a week (preferably spaced out into 3 individual periods) of dedicated individual practice is necessary.

So don’t do the things you already do all the time! Focus on addressing your weaknesses through dedicated individual practice!
